Data Deletion Instructions

You can remove Facebook, Instagram, Meta Ads or YouTube connections and request deletion of retained account data.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Disconnect Meta Ads

  1. Sign in to VisibleGen and open the relevant website.
  2. Open Traffic Analytics and find the Meta Ads panel.
  3. Choose Disconnect Meta Ads.

Disconnecting removes the encrypted Meta access token and cached Meta reporting snapshot for that website from the active VisibleGen database. You can also revoke VisibleGen from your Facebook account settings. Revoking access at Meta does not itself remove the snapshot stored in VisibleGen; use the disconnect control or contact us for that.

Remove a Facebook or Instagram connection

  1. Sign in and open the relevant website’s Social Profiles screen.
  2. Remove the selected Facebook Page or Instagram account connection.
  3. Revoke VisibleGen separately in Meta’s Business Integrations settings to remove provider-side authorization.

Removal deletes the connection’s encrypted credentials and metric snapshots from the active database. It does not delete existing calendar drafts, publication records or posts already published on Facebook or Instagram. Delete public posts through the network’s controls, and email [email protected] for deletion of retained VisibleGen social records. Do not send passwords or access tokens.

Deleted data may remain in restricted recovery backups until the scheduled 6-day rotation. Backups are used for recovery; deletion must be reapplied after restoration.

Disconnect YouTube

  1. Sign in and open the relevant website's Social Profiles screen.
  2. Find the connected YouTube channel, choose Disconnect, review its effects, and confirm Disconnect and revoke.
  3. If Google revocation is not confirmed, follow the displayed link to your Google Account permissions and remove VisibleGen access directly.

Disconnecting requests Google revocation and deletes that channel connection's encrypted access and refresh credentials and associated metric snapshots from the active VisibleGen database. Local removal completes even if Google revocation cannot be confirmed. Google revocation can also invalidate other VisibleGen YouTube connections authorized by the same Google account; those connections may need to reconnect. It does not delete or modify videos on YouTube. You can also revoke access directly in Google Account permissions; use Disconnect or send us a deletion request to remove retained VisibleGen records promptly.

Each collected YouTube video/analytics sample expires 23 days after collection. Channel metadata expires 23 days after its latest successful Google channel read; authorization checks do not extend these data-retention periods. Expired evidence is hidden from reports and removed by hourly cleanup. Authorization is checked at least twice daily independently of video collection, and reports are hidden when current authorization cannot be confirmed. Deleted data may remain in restricted recovery backups until the scheduled 6-day rotation. Before a restored backup returns to service, its YouTube connections, credentials, acknowledgements and metric samples must be removed; reconnection requires fresh owner authorization.

Request other data deletion

Email [email protected] from your account email address. Tell us which workspace or website the request concerns and whether you want an integration disconnected or your VisibleGen account data deleted. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting on the request.

Some records may need to be retained for billing, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations, as explained in our Privacy Policy. Deleting data in VisibleGen does not delete copies held by Meta or another provider; use that provider's own controls for provider-side data.
